Customer's Fault Description
Have changed the batteries and no sign of any life in the remote whatsoever. The battery casing doesn't appear to have any battery leaks, the batteries were still completely intact when I took them out.

Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening the internals were pristine and there were no signs of battery leak.
A component test revealed that the problem was most likely with the main IC. Sadly this IC is encased in resin (see image), due to this a replacement IC cannot be fitted.
