NScessity AirCon Remote Repair Details
This remote arrived with no battery compartment cover and was totally dead, it also had a curious small crack in the back casing (See bottom picture)
Upon opening the remote the Crystal Oscillator component was found to be shattered and only held together by the epoxy resin which was coating it, this is directly underneath where the crack in the casing was present.
It would appear that the oscillator had blown with such force that it had bulged the back causing the stress.
The component was replaced and full functionality was restored (see testing video)
2 AAA batteries also arrived with the remote but these cannot be returned due to shipping restrictions as mentioned in our terms and conditions, they shall be disposed of.
