Pangu D.L.S.B Magic Trick Remote Repair Details
This magic apparatus arrived safely in its case, first inspection showed that the internal workings of the base was all loose. Also the button on the remote control would not depress.
The reason for the button problem was not an electronic one, it was fine when the battery cover was removed, once the battery cover was refitted the problem became apparent. The PCB was slipping down the casing causing the button itself to be pushed against the top casing (battery cover) this was forcing the button to a pressed position (See bottom image showing the issue). This will have caused the draining of any battery left in the remote as it would have been permanently transmitting. A new set of batteries has been supplied to the customer.
This was rectified by repositioning the internal PCB and setting the board in place using a foam pad to prevent the problem happening again. Also the base electronics were glued into position using a stronger glue than was originally applied, the PCB was set using some adhesive foam pads and more adhesive pads have been supplied to the customer to be used to hold down the battery when fitted.
