Customer's Fault Description
The remote will not operate the increase flame function to the receiver ( No flashing light on receiver. It will operate the flame reduction side of the operation,(Flashing light on receiver shown)For both operations on the remote, the red light comes on, but the receiver light only flashes during the flame reduction operation.

 

This remote and receiver arrived and first inspection showed that the "flame up" function was not working.

The remote was tested first and it appeared to be sending a signal on both the up and down channels so attention was then turned to the receiver.

The crystals were changed but strangely it had no effect on the fault.  A known working remote was used to test the receiver and it worked fully meaning that it was in fact the remote that was faulty.

It turned out that even though it was transmitting the frequency was slightly off meaning that it wasn't sending the correct signal.  This strange fault was remedied by changing the 40.5 crystal in the handset.

Full functionality was restored (see testing video)
