This remote arrived in a job lot of 2 similar remotes.  A separate job-sheet has been created for the 2nd remote.

This Handset was totally dead, upon first inspection the battery cover does not stay on very tightly, there is signs of sticky tape residue around the base of the remote.

Inside the battery compartment it was noticed that there was some sticky blue substance around on of the battery terminals (see images below).  When the back was taken off the remote the problem was made apparent.

The negative battery terminal lead was missing which was the cause of the remote having no power.  This was replaced and also all the pads were cleaned up with alcohol to replenish the buttons.  Full functionality was restored (See  )
