This remote arrived safely and was found to be non transmitting.

Upon opening the remote the first thing noticed was that hte pp9 battery clip was faulty, the plastic covering was splaying away from the top of the clip, this was replaced first with a new cable / clip.

An inspection of the PCB revealed some poor solder joints which were causing intermittent problems (see image below), these joints were resoldered and full functionality was restored.

As this remote has a dip switch configuration it is important that the customer check the switch array (the long red row of switches) and make sure that they match up with the receivers dip switch array. This array is basically a code to make sure that you cant open someone elses garage and vice versa therefore they must match up
