Customer's Fault Description
Remote intermittent - doesnt work at all, new batteries tried.

 

This remote and receiver was dropped off and the receiver was found to be totally non functioning.  Voltage tests revealed that the 6 V line was being dragged to 0.5v.

This was rectified by replacing one of the regulator diodes which was reading suspect which was the reason for the intermittent problem, also the battery pack was replaced due to the corrosion caused by the battery leakage.
