Some of the buttons do not work after being dropped as marked on the remote

 

This remote arrived safely and was marked as to which buttons were not functioning.

Upon opening the remote there were 2 problems, the first was the loose connectivity of the aeriel wire, this wire was attached very loosely by a single strand of wire.  This was fixed by re-soldering the wire in place.

The second issue was a tiny solder blob was resting between 2 pins of one of the I.C.s (see image below).  This was shorting out 2 of the legs.  This was removed easily using a pin head.  This solder blob was probably flying around inside remote for some time and when the handset was dropped it finally lodge itself in the position causing the issues.

 

This remote cannot be tested without a receiver box therefore there is no testing video.  The customer is advices t o test the remote fully upon receipt.  All work is guaranteed.
