Customer's Fault Description
Remote stopped working -CD Player may occasionally respond to remote commands; Likely cause: battery left in remote leaked and may have corroded remote's battery terminals.
This remote arrived well packaged and initial testing revealed that hte remote was transmitting very intermittently.
Upon opening the remote the problem became apparent, due to a previous battery spillage the negative terminal was impacted which was causing the batteries to not make a solid conductive connection.
This was cleaned up and then reinforced with solder and full functionality was restored.
