Remote was dropped and was working sporadically but now seems to have stopped completely.

 

This wall timer remote control arrived safely and well packaged, upon fitting batteries and initial testing the remote was found to be transmitting permanently without any button presses.

When the remote was opened there was small signs of contamination, in particular around the enter button and at the bottom of the PCB (there are 4 contacts that doesnt have corresponding buttons, one of these had a sticky substance across its contacts.

The PCB was cleaned with some alcohol and full functionality was restored.
