To Power up remote you must press 1o0 button twice, a red light should illuminate at top of rem .since fault started it would light for 2sec then " FADE " out , time got shorter then 1sec then 1/2 sec now wont come on PS this might light for longer now that I have not used it for a few weeks?

 

This remote arrived safely and first inspection revealed that the battery cover was missing.

After inserting the battery the remote appeared to function, it would light up and as long as it was receiving button presses then it would stay illuminated.

As per the customers fault description the remote was left with a power source present and was  tested at various intervals, after about 10 minutes the remote started to show the fault.

The light would go off after a very short period of time.  Eventually the LED would not light up at all.

The remote was then opened and a full component test was carried out without finding any obvious erroneous readings.

It was then sadly concluded that on of the main IC'S was the fault, unfortunately these chips are not available which has rendered this remote beyond repair.

 This handset was disposed of on the 29th of October 2015 as per our terms and conditions
