This Technics Amplifier remote arrived safely, on first inspection there were signs of attempted opening due to marks found down the side of the remote and 2 holes in the bottom of the remote (see images)

Initial testing showed that no functions were working at all, this was dueto a faulty battery terminal which was causing a very intermittent power source to the PCB.

The damage on the battery terminal was so severe that it couldnt be repaired, therefore a replacement was fitted, this replacement differed from the origional which wasnt available therefore an internal case modification was carried out to ensure there were no future problems.
