This Kenwood remote arrived safely and was found to be totally dead upon first testing.

Upon opening the remote no visual cracks / breaks could be located and a full component check revealed no immediate problems.

A voltage test revealed that the 3 volt supply was being dragged down to < 1 volt.  Unfortunately it looks like it is the main I.C. that is at fault and this item is not available as a separate, therefore this remote has been deemed non economical for repair.

There is no service charge and only the return postage cost is required if the remote is to be returned to the customer.
