Just not working in any way, shape or form!

 

This Bose remote arrived safely.  First inspection showed that the back top plate was lose.  Intial testing of the remote revealed that the LD illuminated but had no contents on the display and also there was no infra red signal being transmitted.

Upon opening the remote there were no signs of damage / battery spilage and a component test revealed no obvious issues.  It was therefore concluded that sadly the main processor (pictured below) may be at fault.  Unfortuinately this IC is not available as a spare and therfore has deemed this repair non economical.

 

There is no service charge, only the return postage is required if the remote is to be returned.
