Customer's Fault Description
Remote does not work. The red light on the remote does not go on even with a new battery
This Gazco fireplace handset arrived safely, the battery cover was held on by sticky tape (this did not hinder operation) and when powered was found to be not even illuminating or sending a signal.
A quick test revealed that the 9 volt supply wasn't reaching the PCB, this was remedied by replacing the batter terminal lead. Full functionality was restored
