Changed batteries and does not work. Light does not come on - may have been dropped

 

This slimline mertik remote arrived safely and was found to neither illuminate or send a signal on either channel.

 Upon opening the handset the problem became clear, there was a tiny crack around the LED which was causing an open circuit.

This was resoldered and full functionality was restored.
