Intermittent connection with gas fire
This fireplace remote arrived safely and was found to be non illumination or transmitting on any button press.
A continuity check on the buttons revealed the common problem that the buttons were all open circuit.
The fault was remedied by replacing all 4 of the buttons. Also the power lead was changed as there was old signs of a previous battery leakage.
