Customer's Fault Description
Unable to switch on/off tv from the remote. All other functions work ok

 

This goodmans remote control arrived safely.  A full test revealed that only the power button was not functioning.

 

Upon opening the handset the reason became apparent.  There was a residue around the power buttons rubber contact and also on the PCB.

 

This contamination was cleaned off and full functionality was restored.
