Customer's Fault Description
The remote is simply not functioning even though it is still in fine condition aesthetically from the outside.
I think perhaps that something internal has come loose or has malfunctioned but not sure really.
This YS Audio remote arrived safely and was found to be non transmitting at all.
Upon opening the handset one of the problems became apparent, the PCB and button pads were coated in a foreign liquid, luckily it hadnt eaten through any of the print therefore was cleaned off using alohol and soap.
The remote was then tested but was intermittent. Closer inspection revealed that the IR led was dry jointed, this was resolderd and full functionality was restored.
