This verine gas fire remote control arrived safely, on first inspection there is a crack around the screw on the rear of the remote and also the battery clip was degraded.

The fault was that the buttons were no making contact, this is quite a common problem and the solution was to replaced all the buttons.  This was done and full functionality was restored.  The battery clip was also replaced to prevent future problems.
