This remote and receiver arrived safely and on first test was found to be non receiving on one channel. The remote itself was fully functional.

As the receiver was opened and retested the fault had increased to "no power" at all.  This was a curious problem that is not a normal fault.  Initial component tests revealed no immediate problem.  A continuity test was carried out and a few small cracks were found.  These were bridged and the "dead" problem was repaired.

The problem with the single channel not working was found to be the normal problem of one of the Crystals being faulty, this was replaced and finally full functionality was restored.
