Buttons stopped working

 

This infra red fireplace remote control arrived safely.  On first inspection it was noted that the screw from the back of the remote was missing (this was replaced) and when a power source was applied there was no response from any of the buttons.

 

This is quite a common problem and the solution was to replace all 4 of the buttons.  This was done and full functionality was restored.
