Customer's Fault Description
The control turns the fire down but not up. On occasion it will flash the recivier on up power but attempts to go down for a short period. I think it is fine on the down button but is sending the incorrect signal on the up power.
This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely, initially the remote was sent for repair but there was no fault found so the customer was requested to ship on the receiver.
When the receiver arrived the battery compartment showed signs of a leakage.
This was cleaned up but the problem persisted whereby one channel would not function.
Upon opening the receiver there was signs that the leakage had spread onto the main board and shorted out on of the diodes, this diode was replaced and full functionality was restored.
