Customer's Fault Description

Buttons not functioning : i) RCV ii) SETUP also unable to select album/tracks on Jukebox from LCD screen

This Pioneer remote control arrived safely and well packaged. On adding a power source no function at all could be found which was a different fault description to the customers issue.

Once the remote was opened the reason for the dead fault and for the erroneous button fault was made clear.

There was a sticky liquid contamination around the button array which was shorting out contacts on the PCB.

This contamination was cleaned up and full functionality was restored.
