Customer's Fault Description
Corrosion due to leaky batteries. Remote doesn't work. Hopefully it's just the battery compartment and its connections, and not actual electronics.
This Eltax remote control arrived well packaged. Initial inspection revealed that the battery terminals were faulty and were coated in corroded contamination.
A power source was added direct to the PCB and the remote was found to be working so the fault was luckily limited to just the terminals, a replacement terminal was fitted and all contamination was removed, full functionality was restored.
