Cannot get it to power on There is corrosion on some circuit

 

This car dvd remote arrived safely. Initial inspection revealed markings all around the remote which are signs that the handset had already been opened.

Adding a power source confirmed that no functions whatsoever were present.

Upon opening the controller there was signs of a battery leakage on the PCB around the battery terminals.  This was cleaner up and a continuity test carried out.  There was a break in the print due to corrosion around the + terminal. The print was reworked and full functionality was restored (when illuminating the keypad it was noted that the slow and mode buttons were not illuminated, this does not effect functionality)
