No Infra Red Signal being transmitted

 

This handset is the 2nd of a 2 job lot of same remotes.

This handset was not transmitting on most of the button presses similar to the first.

 

This was found to be due to worn button pads on the button array, also various suspect joints were found.

The buttons were rejuvenated by using a conductive paint and the joints were resoldered. As with the other handset there was also a problem with the visible red LED which was down to one of the main ic's.  This didn't effect functionality.
