We cannot get the fire to ignite we have tried a new battery on the remote and we have a brand battery on the fire.

 

This Fireplace remote control arrived safely.  On powering the controller there was no response from any button press.

A continuity test revealed that all four of the buttons were reading a high resistance.  All buttons were replaced and full functionality was restored.
