Customer's Fault Description
There is only one visible external red button which opens and closes the garage door. It stopped working so I changed the battery and it worked once or twice at random then stopped. Upon inspection of the internal part, I noticed that three of the pins on the board are slightly bent which may or may not b the cause.
This Garage door remote control arrived safely. On adding a power source the indicator LED did illuminate on each button press but there was no radio signal being transmitted at all.
A component check revealed that the main potentiometer was reading very high resistance. This was found to be due to a poor contact withing the pot. This was cleaned up and a few suspect solder joints were resoldered and full functionality was restored.
