Customer's Fault Description

I stood on it a few weeks ago, sometimes it works fine and some other times it doesn't. I really don't know what else to tell you. I've taken it apart and put it back together a few times but cannot find any faults in side. Temperature seems to make a difference, maybe some loose solder.

This remote arrived safely, on first inspection there was a large piece missing from the casing on one side.

The control had batteries inserted and when tested was found to be transmitting on certain button presses only.

When the control was opened the problem became apparent, firstly there was a solder break around the main electrolytic and also there was a long micro fracture which was breaking a large number of tracks, normally this can be repaired by re etching the print but sadly this crack traverses dual layered print which meant that re-etching was no longer an option. This has made this repair not possible.
