This remote arrived in a batch of 2 handsets, bot were non transmitting.

This first remote kfs0220 v1.0 was looked at first.  First inspection showed that the back battery cover was missing (on both handsets) and also they were held together by tape.

The first problem was the LED indicator light was shattered, this was replaced and the led illuminated on buttons presses but no infra red signal was being transmitted.  This was found to be due to a faulty crystal oscillator and also fault IR leds, these were replaced and full functionality was restored.

The 2nd remote was sadly found to be beyond repair, when the remote was opened there was signs of a "makeshift" repair attempt and there was a short reading across pins of the main ic.  The images and testing video below all relate to the working repaired handset.
