Customer's Fault Description
The sound bar is on but the remote control seems dead and unfortunately the Canton DM 50 without the remote does not work.

 

This  Canton remote arrived safely and on adding a power source was found to be non transmitting on any button press.

Upon opening the handset the problem was found to be a faulty solder joint on the crystal oscillator.

This was resoldered and full functionality was restored.
