Difficult to switch machine on and off Circular wheel which is like a fast forward does not always work

 

This Pioneer handset arrived safely, on adding a power source it was found that the standby button was non responsive and the dial was very sluggish.

Upon opening the controller there was signs of wear around the standby button and the dial array.  This is probably as they are the most common used buttons.

The PCB was cleaned of all contaminants and the rubber conductivity was replenish and full functionality was restored.
