Customer's Fault Description
Works occasionally but when pressing buttons on lower half of control the display can be seen to try and illuminate but the transmit icon (top right) fails to light and the remote does not control the receiver. Buttons top half seem to work all time just buttons on lower part of control seem to have a problem.

 

This remote control arrived safely.  On testing the fault was confirmed to be as the customer stated whereby non of the lower button functions would operate.

 

Upon opening the control there were no immediate spillage / cracks/ dry joints and therefore a component / continuity test was carried out.  

The component check and continuity test revealed no problems and therefore it was concluded that the main processor was at fault, as this processor is not available as a spare it has deemed this repair as not possible.
