Customer's Fault Description
After a while of no use batteries leaked. Changed them worked momentarily and now won't.

 

This Denon remote arrived safely and on testing there was no signal being transmitted from any button press.

On opening the controller the problem was solved.  The battery leakage that the customer had mentioned had leaked further into the control onto the PCB.

Luckily this had not caused corrosion of any of the print so the solution was to give the board an alcohol bath to remove all contaminants.

Full functionality was restored
