almost all butons don't work ... ON/OFF seems ok ... remote has been unused for some time, but previously worked ok ... no signs of deterioration anywhere ... maybe corrosion/dirt on button contacts, etc?
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be "sluggish" and "non responsive" on many button presses.
Upon opening the remote the problem was clear. There was a liquid contamination over most of the PCB, luckily this contamination hadnt corroded the board and therefore just needed cleaning off. This was done and also the rubber pads cleaned, this restored functionality to almost all of the buttons. The center "ok" button was still non responsive. This was due to a worn contact on the rubber pad, this was reworked and full functionality was restored.
