Power On/Off button not working

 

This remote arrived safely and on powering was found to not be responding on the on/off button as well as being sluggish on a few other buttons.

When the control was opened the reason was clear.  There was a liquid contamination over a few of the buttons, this was cleared off with some alcohol and full functionality was restored.
