No Power

 

This Goodmans remote arrived safely and there were signs that the item had been opened or attempted to be opened by marks on the side of the controller.  On adding a power source it was confirmed that no infra red signal was being emitted on any button press.

On opening the control it was noticed that there  was a tiny crack in the solder joint around the IR led, this was re-soldered and full functionality was restored.
