Customer's Fault Description
The fob was washed inside pocket of trousers
This remote arrived safely and on opening to add a power source it was noted that there were signs of corrosion on a couple of pins. When the battery was added the remote would function erratically. On peeling back the button array covers the reason became clear. Due to the liquid contamination the button pads on the PCB were contaminated still with liquid and corrosion had started to happen. This contamination was leaned up and the PCB given an alcohol bath to clear away the corrosion, full functionality was restored.
