the handset just stopped working. it shows no signs of switching on.

 

This Pupleline caravan remote control arrived safely, on initial inspection the button "cover" was lose and 2 screws were missing.

The remote itself would not respond from the power on button.  This is a very common problem which was rectified by repairing part of the 2 sided print which becomes open circuit.  Full functionality has been restored
