These 2 garage remote controls arrived safely and it was confirmed that they both had the same fault whereby the battery terminals had become loose.  This is a common problem and all terminals were refitted and reinforced.

The batteries must be fitted whilst the PCB is in situe (in the back of the control, this is because there are protective "stoppers" tat prevent the terminals from being forced open beyond its chosen stress point.
