It appears to be the on off switch which originally went quite stiff to operate and wouldn't engage the electrics. Seems to go all the way up but doesn't return to the off position.

 

This Caravan motor mover remote arrived safely and on inspection the switch was indeed no fully switching and no power was getting to the main PCB as a result.

The remote was opened (the back was needed to be cut off due to its construction), inside there was a piece of plastic that had got lodged within the switch housing, this seemed to have been from a fixing tab within the remote that had come loose.

This was removed and full functionality was restored.
