This remote arrived safely and on powering was found to only be transmitting on a few buttons.  When opened there were a few breaks in the print tracks that were causing open circuits around the board.  This print problem was strangely not concentrated on any particular area and sadly did include parts of the print that was double layered.  This double layered print cannot be repaired and therefore has rendered this repair non possible.

THIS CONTROLLER WAS DISPOSED OF ON THE 2ND JAN 2017 AS PER OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS
