NEITHER ON/OFF NOR ANY OTHER BUTTONS SEEM TO BE WORKING

 

This Onkyo remote arrived safely on first testing the buttons were "sluggish" and more often than not did not transmit.

This was due to a liquid contamination around the top array of buttons.  This was cleaned up by giving the handset an alcohol bath and the rubber button array was washed of all contaminant.

Please note that due to the petrification over time of the plastic 2 chips were caused in the casing when opening, this could not be avoided as the plastic is very fragile and brittle, this does not effect functionality (see images)
