Customer's Fault Description
Batteries have leaked and appear to have damaged circuit board. Remote will no longer communicate with shower unit.

 

This Shower remote arrived safely from france. On opening it was confirmed that there was signs of battery leakage within the remote on the main PCB.  This leakage had started to corrode parts of the copper tracks.  The spilage was cleaned up thoroughly and a continuity test was carried out on the effected tracks.  There were a couple of open circuits (breaks in the print) found.  These were bridged and full signal functionality was restored.

The Display Shows Service 01, this is normal for operation in our office as it cannot detect the signal from the shower itself as it is in the customers premises.  The customer is required to fully test the handset on arrival.
