The remote is not working / responding

 

This Bose controller arrived safely and on first inspection showed signs of attempted opening (scuff marks around the seams of the remote)

When tested there was no RF signal being emitted on any button press.

When opened a continuity and component test was carried out and there was a couple of issues noted.  There were some poor solder joints / cracks around the oscillating crystal and also one of the function switches was mid position (meaning it was neither on or off, causing an error signal)

 The solder joints were resoldered and also the mode switch was re-positioned and an RF signal was then present on every button press.  Please note that the customer must check that the code corresponds with the receiver or it will not recognize its presence. (I.e. check that the mode switch array matched that of the receiver, please refer to the instruction manual for more details)
