Customer's Fault Description
The remote control will turn the fire down but will not turn it up, all it will light when the buttons are pressed.
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on first inspection the battery compartment in the receiver was corroded due to a battery leakage.
The battery compartment was replaced and then the items were fault diagnosed. The handset was sending out a signal on both up and down channels but the up channel was not being received on the receiver end. This is a common problem and was due to faulty crystals. These were replaced and full functionality was restored. Please note that instead of 40.5khz the up channel now runs at 38.9khz.
