Dropped on to the floor split opened and never worked since

 

This remote arrived safely, the casing was open and an oversized screw was found in the battery compartment.

On powering the controller, the display lit up but no signal was transmitted on any button press.

As the remote was dropped the US transducer was replaced and partial functionality was restored, it was also noticed that there was some contamination around one of the ICs, this was cleaned up and full functionality was restored.
