Customer's Fault Description
Was intermittently working, now seems not to be working at all. Noticed buttons tending to stick down.

 

This Valor electric fire remote arrived safely and on testing was found to not have any infra red signal on any button press.

On opening the device the main board had a few suspicious joints and also some contamination around the button array.  The board was resoldered and given an alcohol bath to remove all contaminants.

On retesting full functionality was restored.
