Customer's Fault Description
Can't charge on cradle charger using contact points flashes dimly on cradle light as it is put on the goes off. Almost as if not enough power is getting through to unit. Updated firmware and cleaned contacts still no joy will charge on USB cable. Also another unit 1100 charges fine on cradle so I know it's not the contacts on the cradle or charger.
This harmony remote arrived safely and on applying it to a charger was confirmed not to be charging.
When opened the reason became apparent, there was a burnt area of the main motherboard, probably due to a power surge. The extent of the damage meant that a repair to the board was not possible but a replacement was sourced and fitted.
